Whetstone sells fixed-price packages rather than hourly billing or open-ended retainers. Each includes a set number of insured advisory sessions and a written scope.

The packages

Packages are set by Whetstone and are the same whichever advisor you book. The advisor decides their availability, not the price. Which one? If you have one specific question, take a single session. If your problem needs someone to look, think, and then check whether the plan worked, take the three-session engagement.

What the scope means

Every package carries a written scope — a plain sentence saying exactly what it covers. That sentence is copied onto your booking when you book, so it cannot change afterwards, in either direction. It also means the engagement has a defined end. An advisor is not drifting into being your unpaid ongoing consultant, and you are not signing up to an open commitment.

Scheduling a multi-session package

Only the first session is scheduled at checkout. You book the remaining sessions yourself, from your advisor’s published times, using the Schedule a session panel on the booking. The booking cannot be closed until every session has actually happened.
Prices are in Australian dollars, and Whetstone’s advisors are Australia-based for now. An international card works normally; your bank may add its own conversion fee.
