Payment is taken when you book, on a secure checkout page run by Stripe, the payment processor.

How payment works

1

Select a package and a time

Choose the package and pick a time from your advisor’s calendar.
2

Pay at checkout

Enter your card details on the Stripe checkout page and confirm.
3

Receive confirmation

A booking confirmation and receipt are emailed to you. Your advisor is notified too.
Whetstone never sees or stores your card number. Your card details go to Stripe. You can save a card to your account for next time, and remove it at any point — removing it does not affect bookings you have already paid for.

Where your money goes

Not to the advisor. Your payment is held by Whetstone from checkout until the work is confirmed complete, and only then released. See booking a session for what that means in practice.

Finding your receipts

Log in and open your booking history. Each completed payment has a receipt against it. Receipts are also emailed to the address on your account at the time of payment.

Currency

Prices are in Australian dollars, and Whetstone’s advisors are Australia-based for now. An international card works perfectly well — your own bank may add a conversion fee, which Whetstone has no part in.
GST applies to transactions, as Whetstone is an Australian-based service.
