Choosing focus areas
Focus areas are how the Whetstone team finds you when matching. Select the topics where you have deep, practical experience and can deliver clear advice in a bounded session.Editing does not reset your verification
You can update your profile at any time from Account.Once you are verified, you stay verified. Editing your bio, summary or focus areas does not send you back through review, and you will not silently drop off shortlists for fixing a typo. Only a genuine re-application — one still under review, sent back for more information, or previously rejected — goes back through review.
Reviews on your profile
Business owners can leave a rating and comment after confirming the work. They can change it for 14 days, after which it is locked and forms part of your record — so your rating cannot be quietly rewritten months later. Whether a review is also quoted publicly on the Whetstone site is a separate question the client opts into. Most do not, and it has no bearing on your profile rating.A new advisor with no reviews is not disadvantaged on shortlists. The team matches on experience and writes the reason the client sees — that is what earns the first booking, not a rating you do not have yet.
