Your advisor marks the work done
They can only do this once every session in your package has actually taken place. You will get an email and your booking moves to Confirm completion.

You confirm it
Open the booking and choose Confirm completion. The screen shows the scope you booked so you can check it against what actually happened.
The 3-day and 7-day rules
Life gets busy, so:- After 3 days, if you have not confirmed, you get one reminder email.
- After 7 days, if you still have not confirmed and have not reported a problem, the booking is confirmed automatically and your advisor is paid.
If it did not go to plan
On the same screen there is Report a problem. Use it. Reporting parks the booking and stops any payment moving — that is the whole reason the confirmation step exists.If your advisor goes quiet instead
The reverse happens too: the session takes place and the advisor never closes it out, leaving your money held with nothing moving it. There is a timetable for that, and none of it needs you to chase anyone.
At day 7 you will see a confirm the session went ahead option on the booking. Using it records that the sessions happened, closes the booking, and releases your advisor’s payment. It is offered only once every session in your package has been and gone.
Saying nothing releases nothing. This is the opposite of the 7-day auto-accept above: there, your advisor had already stated the work was done and you had a week to object. Here nobody has stated anything, so silence leaves the money where it is and puts the booking in front of a person instead.
Leaving a review
After confirmation you are invited to leave feedback. It is optional but genuinely useful — it is what the next business owner reads. The public review is a rating out of 5 and an optional written comment. It appears on the advisor’s profile and shortlist card. Being quoted publicly is a separate, opt-in question. A tick box asks whether Whetstone may quote what you wrote, alongside your business name, on the public site. It is unticked by default and changes nothing about your review either way. The outcome survey — did this address your problem, would you book them again, anything else — is not published. It is how Whetstone learns which matches actually work.You can change a review for 14 days after leaving it, including whether you may be quoted. After that it is locked and becomes part of your advisor’s record — so a rating cannot be quietly rewritten months later on a reputation the advisor cannot see change.
