# Professional Indemnity Insurance on Whetstone

> Every Whetstone engagement includes professional indemnity insurance. What it covers and how it protects your business.

Every advisory engagement is covered end-to-end by professional indemnity insurance. It is built into the package price with no extra steps from you — no opting in, nothing to add at checkout.

## What it covers

Professional indemnity insurance protects your business if advice received during a Whetstone session causes a financial loss, where that loss falls within the policy terms.

## A hard stop, not a warning

<Note>
  If coverage were ever inactive, **the platform refuses new payments outright.** You cannot book an uninsured session on Whetstone, because the system will not take the money. This is enforced in the product, not left to anyone to remember.

## How to make a claim

If you believe you have a claim, contact [support@whetstone.au](mailto:support@whetstone.au) with your booking reference and details of the incident. The team will guide you through the next steps.

If the issue is with the engagement itself rather than a claimable loss, use **Report a problem** on the booking instead — that freezes the payment while it is looked at.
