<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is Whetstone?">
    An Australian advisory marketplace matching business owners with semi-retired and retired industry experts for bounded, insured advisory sessions. Fixed session count, defined scope, no retainers.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How much does it cost?">
    A single 60-minute session is **A$120**. A three-session engagement is **A$300**. Packages are set by Whetstone and are the same whichever advisor you book — see [session packages](/billing/session-packages). Posting a challenge and getting a shortlist are free.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does my money go straight to the advisor?">
    No. Your payment is **held** by Whetstone and released only after the work is done and you confirm it — or automatically seven days after your advisor marks it complete. Until then it is still sitting where it can be refunded.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How are advisors verified?">
    A real person checks three things: identity, credentials with the issuing body, and background via a reference call. Nothing is approved automatically, and every decision carries a written note. See [advisor verification](/trust/advisor-verification).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I choose my own advisor?">
    Yes. Someone at Whetstone reads your challenge, hand-picks a shortlist, and writes you a sentence on why each advisor is on it. You choose from that shortlist and book directly.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is my session really insured?">
    Yes, end-to-end, built into the package price. If coverage were ever inactive the platform would refuse new payments outright. See [insurance explained](/trust/insurance-explained).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is bounded scope?">
    A fixed number of sessions and a written description of what is covered, **copied onto your booking when you book** so it cannot change afterwards. See [bounded scope](/trust/bounded-scope).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I book the rest of a three-session package?">
    Only the first session is scheduled at checkout. Open the booking and use the **Schedule a session** panel to pick the rest from your advisor's available times.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I get a refund?">
    Use **Report a problem** on the booking — not an email to support, which cannot act on a booking directly. That freezes the payment while someone looks at it. Because your money is held rather than passed on, most refunds are straightforward. See [refunds](/billing/refunds).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if my advisor never closes out the booking?">
    You do not have to chase them. They are reminded at day 2, the team sees it at day 5, and at day 7 you are emailed and offered a "the session went ahead" option that closes it and pays them. Ignoring that email releases nothing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I change a review I left?">
    For 14 days — the rating, the words, and whether Whetstone may quote you publicly. After that it is locked and forms part of the advisor's record.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I'm semi-retired — can I become an advisor?">
    Yes. You will need to pass identity, credential and background checks. See [become an advisor](/advisors/become-an-advisor).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I contact support?">
    Email [support@whetstone.au](mailto:support@whetstone.au). For anything about a specific booking, **Report a problem** on that booking is faster — it reaches the team with the booking attached and freezes the payment.
  </Accordion>
